Motion Capture without a reference point? I believe when I play. Have you ever seen the clothes that must be used to perform a a high quality motion capture?
Well things are Changing electronics are getting better and this is defiantly possible for Microsoft as they are the computer people if ya know what I mean, not only that but they showed them using it and It works so, yeah,

well this would only be cool if they have actualy games where you could use this, like Call of duty 4 modern warfare or some FPS game, or some boxing.
So what if there’s two people standing in front of the camera of similar height and shape? Twins for example? How will it know the difference? It’s a nice concept, but it does sound rather flawed…
Because It has Facial Recognition
Okay, identical twins then? If humans have a hard time distinguishing between the two, how is a console with computing power of a modern day desktop going to do this kind of analysis on the fly, when they’re moving around, lighting is changing and distinguishable features (like moles, bumps, scars etc) are coming in and out of view?
I like the idea, I thought the EyeToy was pretty cool when it came out, hell I’ll probably buy it just for the experience. But I can’t see it catching on like they might hope, once you concider how much computing power it requires to do more complex tasks, like with Asimo for example, further development seems rather limited beyond gimicks.

Don’t know but what is your point? Are you saying the wii can?? They probably didn’t think of identical twins playing but honestly its better to have no contraption attached to you than to have a motion sensor suit on to play a game. I think its a good step forward for MS into the average video gaming market and its changing its target users to compete with the Wii. Hands down wii is fun, but it has limited functionality and power. Technology like this will help MS and sony get above.

dude i think Natal is overhyped and won’t be half as good as the trailer made it look to be… imagine you’re playing a racing game and suddenly your littlebrother is jumping infront of the tv and starts steering the wheel and make you lose… haha this wont just work
